Here is my card. As you can see I'm using, School Days Ivy and I've paper pieced her head band, skirt and the bows on her shoes.

Welcome to my shameless attempt at Beggggging for your vote! WE the Inky Girls NEED YOU!!!!! My FABULOUS partners in crime have gotten us this far in the TGF Royal Battle and now the weight of the world is on my shoulders! Please please don't let my teamies down. Good Friday evening!!

Tonight I've got a quick card to share with you

using Genevieve from Kraftin Kimmie.

I distressed the mess out of the dp and card stock.

I'm not real sure what dp this is. I won it awhile back and

have no clue. Sorry.

The card is very simply done as you can see. I was a little lost as what to do. I had idea's, but not the "loot" I needed to see it come to pass. Oh well, I still like the way it turned out.

Good morning ladies!

Today I am sharing two Royal Court images from the Patch.

Prince Rye and Princess Rose are paired together to make this wedding or anniversary card.

I must add that I really love the versatility of Jens images. For example the images I'm showing today could be used for so many different occasions such as birthdays, anniversary's, sleep-over invitations etc... truly the sky is the limit! Makes me wish my girls were younger just so that I could make sweet little invitations for their friends!

I'm using SEI's "Chocolate" dp, which has a really nice texture and Spellbinders Fleur De Lis pendants to give the happy couple a nice back drop.

Here is a close up.This is it for me today as I need to get off my rump and drag my carcass to the living room and continue on my Wii Active 30 day challenge! Sheesh and it IS a challenge let me tell ya! Anything that will make you hold a squat position for a whole minute after completing a 20 minute "hard" workout or hit a punching bag really fast 300 times is considered in my book wicked!!!

Today I am sharing Drucilla from Kraftin Kimmie's shop. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Drucilla! She just has this crazy look in her eye; like, "Go ahead and mess with me!" Ha! Thankfully she is only a stamp! Whew!

Two of the dp's that I am using today is from Making Memories, "English Garden" and the dp directly behind Drucilla is from a RAK that I won eons ago. Sorry that I don't know.

I just love the little "tude" that she has!

know that I have not fallin off the earth. I've been totally

reorganizing my craft area to make it easier to utilize the things that

I have. (I've forgotten about some of this stuff. Ha!) My space is small and

my loot is growing at a steady pace, which means my small space just gets smaller. ;)

So please be patient with me and hopefully when the rain

stops I can snap a few pics of what I have been working on. :)

Happy Wednesday everyone!

It is Wild Flower Wednesday challenge number 3!

We were challenged this week by our fabulous leader Jen to use the colors:

Chocolate, Turquoise, and Cream!

I must admit when I saw these colors I panicked just a bit, because I did not have any turquoise paper! So I frantically searched the internet in search of this beautiful color. Well, I could not really find what I was looking for (probably because I was in such a frenzy...heehee)so I ended up at a local store to find what I thought was close to what I needed for this challenge. :)

And here is my card for the challenge using 3 of Jens newly released Royal Court digis; Pretty Princess, Prince Rye and Fairy Princess.

Let's Hang Out

Happy Thursday everyone!!!

I cannot even begin to tell you how much I adore today's image! I'm quite sure you've seen this chicka around; Charlotte from Kraftin Kimmie Stamps?

Is she not the cutest, quirky little girl you've ever saw? I must confess I've had her in my stamp stash for awhile now and she has been begging me to give her life! Ha! Blame it on the mailman for not doing it sooner!!! I could not find cling foam ANYWHERE around here, so I had to give-in and buy it online!

Im not quite sure why the photo above did not turn out. I tweaked and tweaked it, but it just would not come out the way I wanted and so after awhile it must of grew on me so I left it!

Here's a closeup of her.

I tried to add color to Charlotte's eyes kinda like Annie does her images. No, its not even close, but I do like the way they turned out. Practice Practice Practice! :)

This is not the last time you will see Charlotte here, as a matter of fact she is on my desk now partially colored. :)

Good morning ladies!!!

Today I'm sharing a project using the Pretty in Pink stamp set from the Wild Flower Patch.

While looking over the set I came across a sweet sentiment that said, "sugar and spice and everything nice", and I just knew I had to attempt to make some type of candy shoppe or sweet shoppe that houses all kinds of sweet things!

So, what do you think of Laurel and Ivy's sweet shoppe?

I know that you cant see it very well, but "inside" the shoppe there is a sign that hangs that says, "Penny Candy Yummy". Cute huh? :) For the wall paper I used DCWV Sweet Stack, which was perfect for my shoppe.

Today I have a few things to share with you using, THE MASTER ARTIST herself, Jen's new releases. First off I have Heart Fairy Daisy! She has to be my most FAVORITE!!! She is absolutely adorable!! I decided to put her on a pocket card, which you can fill with all types of Valentine goodies! Perfect for the little ones in your life or the BIG ones... Who doesn't like surprises BIG or small?!?!!

Good afternoon everyone!!!

Sorry that I've been MIA for the past few days... Just really needed some time to myself.

Anyways, today I have a FULL sneak peek of what will be available tomorrow at The Wildflower Patch!!! Her name is Heart Fairy Daisy!! Cute, huh??? I LOVE LOVE her! Not only is she fun, but she is also very versatile. Not only can you make Valentines with her, but you can also put her on birthday invitations! Pretty cool, huh???

Now in the photo below I wanted you to notice one of the small details that I fell in LOVE with when I saw her! If you look closely at her eyes you will notice small hearts. Sweet huh??? Jen is the Master when it comes to details and that's one of the many things that I LOVE about her stamps!!!

Happy Friday friends!!!

Today my card was a last minute thought. Literally! It may look that way too. ;) This morning I started off not having anything to share with you, because I've been working on some projects for the upcoming release for the Wildflower Patch, which by the way is FEBRUARY 3rd!!! (I can hardly wait!!!) So I thought to myself I cannot go without posting something! So I put this together in less than 15 minutes! Yay for 15 minute cards! heeehee.

Hi everyone!

Today I have another project to share with you

that I've been working on for a couple of DAYS. I had to ask myself

on the second day of creating this , WHY do I get myself into

making these time consuming projects????

My answer... guess I just LOVE them! lol

As I was looking over the, Wildflower Kids No Girls Allowed, stamp

set I knew I wanted to make some type of club house or

tree house for Sage and Rye.

Here is my feeble attempt at making distressed wood for

their "tree house". :D

For the faux wood I used Kim's idea here, however I did

have to improvise on a few things that she used in her

tutorial. For the window I used the

Quickutz Window that I purchased from DCRU and the tree limbs

I made using my Cricut. I was a little afraid to make

any type of markings on the limbs to make them more life like.

At this point in the game I sure did not want to start over on anything! lol

Maybe next time I will try to spruce up the trees! :)

I knew that this tree house had to have Dutch doors. How fun!! I used

brads for the door handles and a circle punch for the window. Also

I used acetate for the window panes.

Today I have Valentine Lily to share with you.

She is super cute and TONS of fun to color! You can

find her over at the Patch! She is digi, so that

means instant gratification! I think I'm beginning to lean

more towards digis than rubber! Not to say

that I don't like my rubber, because I do! :) With digis though

you don't really have to sit there and wait for your ink

to dry or worry about if you are using the right type of ink with

the right type of paper! I {heart} digis!

Goooood afternoon everyone!!! :D

I have a couple of things to share with you today. Hmmm, which part do

I share first?... Ok ok... The MOST exciting news first! Cuzzz I am

bursting at the seams to tell you! :D

Does everyone know Jen from the Wildflower Patch?? If not, I would

recommend you hopping over to her place to get to know her!

She is SUPER sweet and has her very own stamp line and she

is one AMAAAZZZING artist and crafter! She exudes with skill and talent!

With that being said, she had a DT call of few weeks back and I submitted

an application and I GOT ONE of the positions!!! WOOO HOOO!!

Talk about doin the HAPPY dance when I got the email telling me

that I was chosen to be a part of this AMMMAZZZZING team!! I can

hardly wait to work with these SUPER EXTRAORDINARY talented ladies!! :D

Thank you once again Jen for such an incredible opportunity to work

with you and your amazing stamp line! I'm BEYOND thrilled to

Good morning everyone!!! Happy Sunday to you!

Remember yesterday when I mentioned that the wheels were already spinning for my next project? Well, mossssst of if came to pass! Yay! As you can see below I tried creating a scene for this super Sassy Studio Design image. This is one of their new releases called, "I'm Every Woman". Cute huh?

I paper pieced the tub, claws and woman. I stickled the bubbles after applying a little Copic B00. As I sit here looking at this now I know I should have used an embossing folder for the top portion of the wall. Ugh, maybe next time! :) ... IF there's a next time. Let me tell ya there was a LOT of small pieces to cut and other "fun" (a little hint of sarcasm there) intricate details. The towels appear to be lopsided in the photo, but IRL they are not. I promise I lined up those towels! Ha!

Soooo would you like to know what the "S" stands for on the monogrammed towel set? :D Sassy Studio Spa!!! LOL!!! My hubs asked, "why didn't you put a "C" for Cantrell". I told him, because thats NOT me in that tub!, and "cuzzzz it's a Sassy design"! Duh! Kidddding!

Hello everyone!

Today I'm using the Greeting Farms Dressy Edward on a little Valentines that I made.

Do you ever have cards that you make and just want to chunk into yesteryear? Well, I sure do! This unfortunately is one of them! Ha! Don't get me wrong I love the image, but everything else really needs to go bye bye! Maybe I need to stop working on Valentines and start on something like Easter or Mothers day. lol

Anyways enough of me rambling! lol

I really like the way Edwards hair came out. Thanks to Jen for putting up a really nice tutorial on her blog. She made it look easy peasy! Now, my results are not the exact same as hers, but she so inspired me to think in a different direction when coloring hair. Thanks Jen!!! :)

Just want to say a BIG thank you

black and white... literally! :)

I used a few different Spellbinder dies to create the

backdrop; the Fleur De Lis Pendant and the Floral Accent and

then used my Cricut for the hearts. Card stock

is Papertrey Ink and the black

and white patterned paper is from Me and My Big Ideas.

BTW, I LOVE this pp pack because of the different textures

each page offers. For example the pp I used

on this card has a velvety feel. Really nice to the

touch!

Hello everyone, I'm back with yet another Anya image from the Greeting Farm. :)

I had this bright idea that I would put a city background behind Anya to make her appear like she had been out shopping, well, someone else beat me to it! As I sat here last night "googling" for HOURS trying to find the perfect city back drop I found it! BUT, the city was created and used by another crafter so I knew immediately that I could not use it. Bummer!! Never fear, because my Cricut was near. LOL!!!

For this city background I used the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge. No, its not what I initially had intended, but it worked at the time. I basically felt like I had filleted this card and I wanted to just get it out of my sight ASAP before it ended up at the bottom of the "city" dump!

Today I have some great news to share with you. The Wild Flower Kids have their very own store!!! It's called The Wild Flower Patch! How cute is that?!?!

Jen is the amazing artist and owner of these adorable kids. Here is Violet looking oh so sweet in her baby doll dress and blingy accessories! This sweet image was released just yesterday. She is a doll!

I paper pieced Violets dress, shoes and accessories and added some Martha Stuart glitter to make her really stand out. All card stock and patterend paper is Papertrey.

Hi everyone! :)

Today I have a sweet little "LOVE" card to share with you; again using my Cricut. You may be seeing a LOT of cards from me using this machine since it's my new toy. It really does the work for you. Ha! Whew, I needed something like that! lol...

All the solid color cardstock is Bazzill Bling Birthstones, which I LOVE! If you have never seen this stuff it is "blingy/sparkly"! The patterned paper is from DCWV, Sweet Stack.

Happy New Years Eve everyone!!!

I am the guest designer on the DCRU design team blog today! Woot woot!! Lol.... So with that said this may look familiar to you.

Today I will be sharing a SUPER EASY tutorial (So easy even a caveman can do it! Ha!) on how to make this purse that measures 5 1/2 x 4 1/4. The purse will hold 4 cards measuring 5 1/2 x 4, 4 envelopes and small pen. (I've seen a lot of ideas out there for purse tutorials and I am sure this is very similar to a lot of them, so in no way am I taking credit. I just experimented with the measurements and this is what I came up with to suit my needs.)

The supplies you will need and that were used in my photos are:

1 Sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 Card stock (heavy weight is recommended)

Embellishments of your choice,

Chalks,

Ruler,

Velcro,

Embossing Folders: Swiss Dots, D'Vine Swirl, Polka Dots, Script Texture

Steps:

1. Using your paper trimmer cut card stock to 11x6 and cut the leftover strip to 10 1/2 x 3.

2. Place the 11x6 sheet of card stock on your Scor-Pal and score at: 2 1/2, 3 1/2, 7 3/4, and 8 3/4 as shown in photo. (If you do not have the Scor-Pal mat that fits snug in your Scor-Pal you will need to mark the 7 3/4 and 8 3/4 with a ruler and then score.) Now place the 10 1/2 x 3 strip on your Scor-Pal and score at 1 1/4, 2 1/4, 8 1/4, and 9 1/4 as shown in photo below.

Notice in the photo above that you now have the two main sections of your purse. The top piece of CS is the "base" of the purse and the bottom piece of CS is the "box" that will fit inside of the base.

3. Pre-fold score lines. (Once the base is pre-folded notice that one side is slightly smaller than the other. The smaller side is the top of the purse.)

4. Next you will want to apply your Score-Tape or some other super sticky adhesive to the "box" part (10 1/2 x 3) as shown in below photos.

5. Carefully attach the "box" to the base as shown in photos below.

6. The last part of this tutorial is punching holes for your "strap". You can either punch holes and attach a pretty ribbon as your purse strap or you can get creative and make a paper strap, which I have done, using the Home Accents cartridge with my Cricut Expression. (In the below photo I just eyeballed where to punch the holes.)

Now all you have to do is pull out your favorite designer paper and embellishments and decorate until your little heart is content! :) Easy peasy lemon squeezy!

Once you are finished decorating your purse you will want to add some type of closure such as: Velcro, magnetic rounds or buttons. (You can attach a button to the top and one to the bottom and loop twine around like you would find on an interoffice envelope.)

You will want to make some matching cards (5 1/2 x 4) to put inside of your purse.

Here is my finished purse with stationary.

Today I have another sweet little card using my Cricut Expression. The cartridge is Serenade.

Do you have big plans for New Years? Have you set goals? I have set several goals for myself in the different roles that I play as a mom, wife, and scrapper/blogger. I've also set some physical and spiritual goals to achieve. I want to take 2010 by the horns and if I set my mind to achieve now I know that I will succeed! I believe 2010 can be our BEST year yet!

Hi everyone!

If anyone deserves the worst blogger award it would be me! Seriously, how long has it been since I've posted something that I've created?!? Too long! Truth be known I've been super busy trying to get things ready for the "Most Wonderful Time of the Year". :) Ha! Hasn't everyone?! Not to mention I have not seen the sun in forever until today!

OK, enough of excuses. Now on with the show (sorry, not much of a show). Here is a sweet little card that I created today in about 15 minutes! Yay, for quick cards and yay for quick post. :)

There's an Angel Among Us...

... Ivy Angel that is! :) This is one of Jen's super adorable digis from her, Tis the Season line. There is a whole slew of cuteness in this set. I would encourage you to go check them out! :)

When I set out to make this easel card I wanted Ivy to appear to be floating and angelic looking. I did this by popping her up with strips of cs and making her gown light and airy looking. If you click on the picture you will see that I used two different color families. I used C1 for the over-all gown and outlined it in Vooo. I used Shimmerz butter cream on her wings. The flame on her candle my Spica pens were used; trying to give it a "glow-y" look. For her halo all I had was regular gold art glitter that I glued on speck by speck. Lastly for the snowflakes I printed out some snowflake outlines chalked them and then colored them with my Sakura Souffle pens and punched them with my 1" punch. Last night I was wishing that I had those snowflake die cuts, but I didn't so I had to improvise.

Hello everyone!

Can you believe next week is Thanksgiving?? I know I cant! I have not even prepared in the least bit let alone Christmas. Can I tell ya a secret??? I'm SO ready to put up my Christmas tree! Ha! Yes!! I have not took the plunge yet, but I see it happening really soon! When do you put your tree up? You may be thinking, "girl Thanksgiving hasn't even arrived", but let me tell you that I know of a few people who put their tree up on Halloween! WASSUP with that?!?!?! Did I just really say, "Wassup"?

Let me tell ya, I fought myself and fought myself to use this sentiment on my card today. I'm so not the "wassup", "yo", or "wudup" type of girl, but for whatever reason I felt this sentiment was fitting for My Guy Autumn. What do you think?

Isn't he a doll? I really liked the way he came out.

Here is a sweet little digi that I purchased from the Greeting Farm.

Last night I decided to work with a sketch instead of "winging" it. Ha! I'm a slow learner. Better late than never is what they say.

Here she is sporting her cute Winter wardrobe! After making this card I "picked" it to death! You know all the, "I should of done this and I should of done that". Welp, there will be a next time! You will see her again real soon I'm sure. :)

Good afternoon ladies! Hope each of you are having a fabulous week!

Here is a super sweet digi image that I received from Die Cuts R Us. Her name is Inkin Isabella. She was a ton of fun to color. I love this girls shoes, which I used my Spica's on; so they are "blingy"! :)

Christmas is just around the corner and what better gift to give the crafter in your life then a cute little gift bag or box with this fun image popped up on it? You can fill the box/bag with some cute little embellies or a gift certificate that you can also find at the DCRU store!

First up today I wanted to share a card that I made using the DCWV Sweet Stack that I purchased at DCRU for a "sweet" price (sorry, I could not resist). Now how CUTE is this image!?! This is Rainy Cynthia from In Style Stamps. She was a lot of fun to color, but then again when I use my Copics I always have fun! :) Virginia from ISS has a LOT of really cute digis in her shop. Go check it out! Oh, plus she has a TON on sale! What girl does not love a sale!?!

Next up I have used the DCWV Sweet Stack again. I figured since it was out that I might as well take advantage of it. lol.. This adorable digi came from the super talented Dawn of Lost in Paper Scraps. She too has TONS of cute images.

.... and guess what! Both of these cards took me under 3 hours to complete! Ha! Can ya believe it!?! I know I sure cant! :) Plus on top of that I was able to color in another cute image that I will share later on!

What I love about vintage/shabby cards is that nothing has to be perfect! It sure makes my crafting easier since I am still so new. (One day I wont be able to use that excuse, but until then...) I'm starting to really enjoy making this style of card.

Here's a little card that I made last night using Cosmo Cricket Jolly by Golly line. This line is adorable. I hand stitched and did some major distressing to the card, added a little bit of Shimmerz to the snowman, also handmade, to try and give it a little sparkle. In a way I think it looks a little muddy. Oh well, I will know next time. :) Guess you could say that he was made out of dirty snow. ;)

Good evening!

Here I have a couple of projects that I made last night. You can say they were "rush" projects. Super simple to make... even for me! :D

First up is a little treat bag that I made out of 1 sheet of card stock. The bag measures 2 3/4" by 1 1/2" and 3" deep. The dp is from The Sweet Stack from Die Cuts R Us. Ribbon is from Paper Mart. Card stock is from Papertrey Ink.

Here is a little treat holder that can hold a single cup Reese's or any other goody that is approximately the same size. Off I go to make a few more! :) Have a great evening everyone!

Here is the last image in Jen's stamp set, Ghoul Friends. Isn't he adorable! He was a lot of fun to color too! I have so many projects in my head that I want to create with Jen's stamps (besides a card). Maybe I can create one this weekend and post! Let me tell you, all of you ladies sure make card making look simple! I've had the hardest time trying to decide on what to do with this cutey patutey! He has been laying on my desk (colored)for the past 3 days begging me to do something with him. It just was not flowing!

Must be a miracle taking place because this is my second post in three days!!! I cannot believe it! I'm a horrible blogger as my track record proves, but maybe as time goes by I will get better! :)

Here is another cute image and sentiment that comes with Jen's Wild Flower Kids, Ghoul Friends.

I used my Copics to color him and Spicas to outline the "scars" on Franky and the bats. Used a little dot of Stickles for the button on the jacket and the dots around the sentiment. LOVE the sentiment! Those bats are so cute too, which I popped up on 1/4 inch foam dots.

BEWARE: This is my 1st time to ever color a stamped image with a face using my Copic markers! :/
Yesterday, I received my blog candy that I won from Jen who created this adorable stamp and sentiment. This is just part of her new released Wild Flower Kids, Ghoul Friends set that Stamp Happens carries exclusively.
The day this set was released I immediately fell in LOVE to say the least. Violet is just soooo cute and so much fun to color! Jen did an amazing job with all the details as you can see. I mean c'mon look at those cute leg warmers and the striped leotards. CUTE CUTE!
There are more stamps to this set that are just as adorable and full of detail, which by the way I cannot wait to tackle like the "Frankenstein" image (again)! Actually I did color the Frankenstein image last night, but decided it would be best not to post him, because, well he kinda looks like the Incredible Hulk! (Sorry Jen) From his neck down he looks great, but his poor little face looks "hulkish".
I can hardly wait to see what Jen comes up with next!
Well off I go to play with this incredible stamp set! Hope everyone is having a great weekend with family and/or friends.
